Google’s latest April security patch is now rolling out to some Samsung Galaxy flagship devices. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2, Galaxy S21 series, and Galaxy Note10 series are now getting the new OTA, even earlier than Google’s Pixel devices, which normally get their Android updates on the first Monday of the month. Although all devices receive the same patch, not all will see the same changes.
Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra
Starting with the Galaxy S21 series, Samsung’s latest flagship line is getting a 1GB upgrade that brings performance and camera improvements. The update allows the phones portrait modes to take pictures with the main camera, as outlined in Sammobile. Before this, portrait photos were only possible with telephoto or ultra-wide cameras. The update has been seen to be rolling out in India.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 5G
Next, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 update reveals no drastic differences. It seems that all the updates are incremental improvements that happen deep in the background. The update has been implemented in both Germany and Russia according to XDA Developers.
Samsung Galaxy Note10
Finally, the Galaxy Note10 series sees the same update in Germany as well. Like the Z Fold2, this one doesn’t seem to have any significant changes either.
To check for updates on any of these devices, go to Settings> Software update> Download and install.
