Bruno Fernandes has started running at Manchester United in a way that many previous signings have failed to do.
The Red Devils have not been afraid to spend the money on recent transfer windows, with big names like Angel Di Maria, Paul Pogba, Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sánchez, all by the gates of Old Trafford.
But although none of the aforementioned players really lived up to their huge turnover, Fernandes’ January signing has been highlighted by Manchester United.
And club legend Roy Keane believes this has a lot to do with the 25-year-old’s attitude, which complements his quality on the field.
“We often talk about players taking the time to settle into a club, it didn’t take long, did it?” Roy Keane told Sky Sports.
“He seems like a very good personality. Obviously it’s a great move for him, but he seems to be enjoying himself. He has a bit of arrogance about him.”
The ‘arrogance’ Keane spoke of, a trait the Irishman emanated during his game days, was on display for the world to see in the Manchester derby in March.
Fernandes was seen putting his finger to his lips during an argument with Man City manager Pep Guardiola, motioning him to stop talking.
The Portuguese later explained: “I am very respectful of Pep, what he won and what he did for football, but at that time he did not respect me and he did not deserve my respect.”
