Razer Brings New Kaira Wireless Headphones to Xbox Series X | S

It wouldn’t be an exciting game console launch season without a host of newly manufactured peripherals.

Today, Razer announced the launch of two new wireless headsets, specifically designed for use with the upcoming Xbox Series X | S from Microsoft. Kaira ($ 99.99) and Kaira Pro ($ 149.99) are available now and ship from the Razer website.

At the entry level, Kaira and Kaira Pro are made from the same guts, including 50mm Titanium TriForce audio drivers and a HyperCardiod microphone, removable on the Pro. Both devices connect directly to the Xbox Series X | It’s without the need for annoying dongles, a feature I really appreciate in console accessories.

The Pro mainly deviates from the base Kaira in that it has Chroma RGB lighting and Bluetooth 5.0, allowing you to connect to your Xbox and your phone simultaneously. This opens up the opportunity to have, for example, Discord running while you play. Additionally, the Pro has an additional internal microphone for physically moving and relaxing, so you don’t need to keep your main microphone boom connected while traveling or relaxing.

Razer claims a battery life of 15 hours for the Kaira and a stretch of 20 hours for the Kaira Pro (15 with Chroma disabled). Both headphones are Windows Sonic compatible and have FlowKnit memory foam ear cushions.

So if the extra perks of the Pro are of interest, it might be worth the extra $ 50. Otherwise, the regular Kaira looks like a decent entry-level gaming headset, and each pair of headphones should pair very easily with Microsoft’s new hardware.

I have samples on the way, so stay tuned for practical impressions.
