PUBG Mobile update 0.18.0 is out now, but not everyone can download and play with all available features. After launching earlier this week, issues with the latest PUBG update have left some Android and iOS users unable to play and use their accounts. PUBG Mobile update 0.18.0 came with a new unlinking feature and it seems that some players are now facing error messages about old and new versions of the game.
PUBG Mobile’s warning says: “The account is logged in with a newer version of the game and can no longer log in with an older version. Please upgrade to the latest version. “
Tencent has confirmed that the issue is related to the account unlinking feature and they are now working on a review. And with the launch of the new PUBG Mobile Royale Pass for Season 13 slated for May 13, everyone will want to access again as soon as possible.
However, there is no ETA on how long it will take to implement or when players can wait for the next situation update.
Tencent’s latest message explains, “Hello everyone, we are disabling the account unlinking feature as we work on a patch to address some issues players are having with it.” When we have a progress update, we will let everyone know. ”
PUBG Mobile Update 0.18.0 was a sizable download, requiring approximately 1.97 GB of storage space on Android devices and 2.21 GB of storage space on iOS devices.
It also came with the caveat that players in different versions would not be able to invite each other to the games.
The patch notes from the latest PUBG Mobile update were referring to the unlink accounts feature, warning that there were limitations.
The patch notes read: “Unlinking accounts: When two social media accounts have been linked, one of the social accounts can be unlinked; however, for account security reasons, players cannot unlink an account within the 30 days of unlinking an account. “
One of the reasons this week’s update is so complicated is due to the release of the revamped Miramar map. Visual updates have been made to the classic Miramar map, along with some new items.
An Oasis has been added to the northern part of the map and players will also notice that the Urban Ruins are now located to the northwest.
PUBG fans will also notice that more housing areas, roads and resources have been added and that there is now a new race track across the map.
Another striking inclusion is the Golden Mirado, with a single vehicle spawned across the map.
Meanwhile, Miramar’s new vending machines will be stocked with energy drinks and pain relievers, and players will also need to be on the lookout for sandstorms.
There is a possibility that the areas in Miramar and the main menu will be devastated by Sandstorms, and it seems that these are chosen at random.

- Total countdown time “Play another game” has been reduced.
- Interaction methods have been improved.
Team invitation enhancements
- Up to 3 invitations can be viewed at once.
- Improved invitation frame interactions.
- Requests can be approved by the recipient rather than just the creator of the room.
IMPROVEMENTS Function enhancements
- The amount of LIKE received in the last 20 matches will be displayed on the team page.
- Added “Number of LIKE received in the last 20 games” to the LIKE Ranking.
- Added gift and LIKE records sent by teammates to the results screen.
New currency
- A new currency called AG (AceGold) was added. After the update, all Silver rewards will be replaced with AG in events (this will not be implemented for events that started before the update).
- The price of most items that can be purchased with UC in the Store will be changed to an AG price. When a player doesn’t have enough AG, UC can be used to make up the difference.
- Royale Pass UC rewards will now have two options. Players will be able to choose a reward of 30 UC or 400 AG (equivalent to 40 UC) in the corresponding rank.
- 30 UC box has been improved: Box items have been adjusted and the default pull price has been changed to 300 AG. UC can be used to make up the difference when the player doesn’t have enough AG. Coupons from previous supply boxes can still be used.

- The resource expansion pack has been divided into 3 packages for a better download experience.
- After the modes and dependent maps are separated, the total size of the required download will be displayed on all related interfaces synchronously.
Season overview
