Paris Saint Germain star forward Neymar was embroiled in a stunning altercation with Lille defender Tiago Djalo on Saturday. Neymar and Djalo were sent off after a shoving match late in the game. As the two headed towards the tunnel, tensions rose between them, with Neymar gesturing animatedly towards Djalo. Officers separated the two as they entered the tunnel, but Neymar tried to circle them to get to Djalo, who also seemed to want to face the Brazilian star, but officers managed to separate them again successfully before things got out of hand.

Neymar’s red card in the 90th minute summed up a frustrating night for PSG as they fell 1-0 at home to Lille, who have now taken a three-point lead at the top of Ligue 1.
This was Neymar’s second expulsion this season and the fourth since joining PSG on a world-record deal in 2017.
PSG have now suffered three consecutive league losses at home for the first time since 2007, and are three points behind Lille with seven games to play.
Monaco are one point behind in third place after beating Metz 4-0, but Lyon lost ground and moved five points away from the lead in fourth place with a 1-1 draw against fifth place Lens.
It had been imagined that Mauricio Pochettino’s PSG would move on to another league title after winning 4-2 in Lyon before the recent international break, but Saturday’s result casts doubt on his credentials.
They have won just one point from four games against Lille and Monaco this season. Lyon also beat them in Paris.
“I am disappointed by the result and by losing three important points. I am not worried but we will have to keep fighting until the end,” Pochettino said.

“We are an inconsistent team for many reasons, but we are working to fix that.”
