PS5 DualSense now supports Steam Client Beta

For those with a new PlayStation 5, or even those with a DualSense waiting for one, Valve has announced that the DualSense now supports the Steam Client Beta.

As revealed in the latest Steam Client Beta patch notes, initial input support was added for the PS5 DualSense controller, but “features like rumble, trackpad, and gyro are not supported yet.”

This means that while you can use DualSense, official support is not ready for your haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, or gyro motion control. It is promising that Valve has chosen to use the words “not yet”, so there is hope that PC developers will one day have the opportunity to experiment with the unique features of DualSense for their games.

In our DualSense review, we said: “With DualSense, Sony has created a more comfortable gamepad for traditional gaming and introduced some very cool features. Haptics and adaptive triggers make an immediately noticeable difference in the games that use them, and offer exciting potential for new and interesting gaming experiences. “

The DualSense is one of the four things we love about PlayStation 5, from the way you can feel the tension swinging from a net in Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales to the way you can feel the raindrops falling on the Astro-bot umbrella. in your hands at Astro’s Playroom.
