Sony will remove Days Gones from the PS Now subscription service starting in January 2021.
While that’s bad news for anyone who hasn’t yet enjoyed survival horror on the streaming service, there’s still plenty to get excited about.
Each month, the tech giant chooses which new titles to add to the streaming service, while also replacing some that leave it.
And in recent months, Sony has offered much more than the three games they have given us in the past.
As an example, six PS4 games were added to the service in early December, led by Horizon Zero Dawn.
But there were five other tiles available simultaneously, including Stranded Deep, Broforce, Wreckfest: Drive Hard. Die Last, The Surge 2 and Darksiders III.
Neither of these games are going away this month, but there are some changes to be aware of in January.
The first is that Days Gone will not be playable on January 4, 2020, depending on where you live in the world.
This looks like the big drop in the PS Now game list in January 2021, but more are to come.
On February 1, two more games will disappear from the PlayStation Now service, including Dead Cells and Hitman 2.
So now would be a good time to find out if you like any of these games before they disappear in the next few days or weeks.
And there are a lot of new games that could replace Days Gone and the others this week.
Marvel’s Spider-Man was a huge hit when it released on PlayStation Now earlier this year, and there are still plenty of games of their own that could be selected.
At least one of these new games will be of the indie genre, and it will be up to Sony how many titles are added to the service during 2021.
PS Now is a streaming-only service, so none of these games will need to be downloaded and installed on your console.
It should also be noted that PS Now can also be accessed through a PC or PS5 console simply by downloading the official app and having a compatible controller on hand.
And gamers won’t have to wait long before finding out what’s being planned for this year, as Sony is expected to reveal its PS Now game roster for this month on Tuesday, January 5, 2020.
This will be the same day that the new free PS Plus games will be released and will be available for download by Sony.
