Princess Beatrice, 32, and Princess Eugenia, 30, are extremely close. The daughters of Prince Andrew, 60, and Sarah Ferguson, 60, Beatrice and Eugenie are ninth and tenth in line to the throne and neither of them are members of royalty. However, in her spare time, the sisters lend their support to various charities and Bea has recently helped realize a new project.
Beatrice is an honorary royal patron of the Northwood African Education Foundation (NAEF), which runs a successful school for more than 400 students in Ethiopia.
On Monday, Bea launched an online art auction to help raise money for the organization, which like many charities has been hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic.
In launching the auction, Princess Beatrice said: “I am proud to be the Patron of this extraordinary endeavor by giving the precious gift of education to hundreds of children who would not otherwise have access to a full-time education.
“This has been a tremendously challenging year for NAEF and all charities and I would like to thank all the artists who generously donated their work.”

Last week, Eugenie spoke about the lockdown during a chat with TogetherBands charity ambassador Cameron Saul on Instagram live.
During the interview, Eugenie said: “The confinement has been good for me.
“I can’t believe we’re on lockdown 2.0, as everyone calls it.”
She added: “I am very lucky to have had my health during number one and number two and I really can’t begin to imagine what people are going through, that they are getting sick.”
Eugenie’s father-in-law, Jack Brooksbank’s father George, was treated in intensive care for coronavirus in March.
Speaking about the disturbing experience, Eugenie said: “My father-in-law was quite ill in confinement one, so I am very grateful that he is alive, that there are so many amazing people fighting for everyone’s life.”
While Eugenie maintains an active profile on Instagram, Beatrice doesn’t have a public account, but she may have been inspired by her sister’s recent efforts to do something for charity as well.
It remains to be seen if Beatrice and Eugenie will spend Christmas together this year.
The sisters will have been kept apart by the lockdown for now, but they may be able to reunite once restrictions are eased on December 2.
