The multiplayer Alpha for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War It has gone as expected. Players are complaining about skill-based matchmaking, goals are being formed, and bugs are being discovered. While not great for the current version, alpha testing is supposed to be a way for developers to fix these issues before launch. One issue Treyarch will definitely need to be aware of is the slide mechanics as a whole. While the slide cancellation is confirmed to be fixing, another slide bug has appeared that might need fixing.
Black Ops Cold War slide bug found in alpha
When content creators played on the worldwide multiplayer reveal, it was immediately noticed that the slide cancellation was back. A feature of Black ops 4, this mechanic is essentially a way to ensure you don’t lose momentum after a slide. You can simply cancel the animation in the middle and repeat the process over and over again, giving it extra movement.
However, Treyarch has previously stated that this quirk will be changed when the open beta launches. Then for the stream Black Ops Cold War Players who use slide cancellation, do not feel too comfortable. Although, if you are using a recently discovered bug with the slide mechanic, that’s another story.
First made public by some streamers on Friday, we are not sure if this is a specific bug or not. It’s hard to tell if this gliding quirk was intended by Treyarch or not. You can take a look for yourself down.

From the looks of it, this mechanic lets you get almost twice the distance with a single swipe. Many players call this movement mechanic the revamped “G-Slide”. The term was popularized by a similar mechanic in Black operations 3 which was finally patched.
At this time, it’s unclear if Treyarch plans to fix the anomaly or let it render open beta. However, we do not see this current feature in the alpha version reaching the full release of the game unless it is a fully intended mechanic implemented by the developers. Presumably, we’ll have to wait until November 13 to find out.
