Things have been quite disastrous for Philippe Coutinho since he left Liverpool in 2018.
The Brazilian joined Barcelona on a £ 142 million “dream” transfer in the January window, but he quickly found himself falling into hierarchical order at an alarming rate.
He was sent on loan to Bayern Munich for the season in the hope that the German giants would squander 120 million euros to sign it permanently at the end of the campaign.
The Bundesliga champions do not believe that Coutinho is worth it, which means that the Brazilian will return home to Barcelona in a few months, without knowing what the future holds for him.
A return to the Premier League has been debated, and the talented midfielder is not without suitors in the English top flight.
In recent months, Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham and Everton have been linked to Coutinho’s signing.
Liverpool is also perpetually linked with its ancient talisman, but Coutinho on his return to Anfield seems highly unlikely.
According to reports from the Spanish publication Sport, Barcelona is looking to send Coutinho on loan again next season.
Barça plans to include the same clause currently in Coutinho’s loan agreement at Bayern Munich, allowing the club to make the deal permanent at the end of the season.
But unlike Bayern Munich, who would have to pay £ 105m to sign Coutinho, his next potential lending club would only have to pay £ 57m.
Therefore, Barcelona could lose £ 85m from Coutinho.
