Outriders may be coming to Xbox Game Pass

A new teaser may be hinting that Square Enix’s Outriders are coming to Xbox Game Pass soon. Twitter shared a joking email from Melissa McGamepass, the lieutenant executive vice president of general video game communications, who confirmed that a new game is on its way to service. In addition to stating that this new game is “completely unrelated” to previous announcements like the 20 Bethesda games that recently joined Xbox Game Pass, the end of the email appears to confirm that Outriders is the game in question.

“Before I left, I had something I wanted to ask,” wrote McGamepass. “Has anyone else noticed a mysterious sign appearing in the distance lately or am I the anomaly in the situation?”

Since their reveal at E3 2019, Outriders has made it clear that players will traverse the ruined world of Enoch in search of the source of a mysterious sign.

Also, those who have tried the extensive Outriders demo (which is now available for free!) Will know that one of the main missions has players escaping from a anomaly.

The timing of this McGamepass email is also important as it comes just days before Square Enix’s Digital Showcase on March 18 which will include announcements for Outriders.

Outriders will launch on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X / S, Xbox One, PC, and Google Stadia on April 1, 2021. For more information, check out our Outriders demo impressions and 10 tips and tricks to get the most out of the demonstration.
