After a whirlwind of announcements about Bethesda titles on Xbox Games Pass, the service suggests that the popular Outriders demo could be next.
The newest title coming to Xbox Game Pass may be the new Outriders demo, according to a cryptic tweet that includes an image of correspondence from Microsoft’s fictitious senior executive vice president, Video Game Communications Lieutenant General Melissa McGamepass. Developed by People Can Fly, Outriders is a cooperative shooter game that has been compared to titles like Destination Y The division. The game demo, which launched just a few weeks ago on February 25, has already hit some impressive milestones, like shooting down the top ten best-selling games on Steam. A screenshot of McGamepass’s correspondence appeared on Xbox Game Pass social media, hinting that the Outriders The demo may be coming to Xbox’s paid subscription service soon.

After just one week, the Outriders demo boasted a million downloads and it looks like Microsoft is hoping to bring that success to its own console soon. That’s not to say Xbox hasn’t had a blast of its own news-worthy triumphs recently. A wave of outright interest has been directed at Microsoft’s acquisition of Bethesda’s parent company, Zenimax Media. Although the planned deal was announced last year, the two companies finally made it official this week.
Microsoft, with the Bethesda titles just added to its subscription service, barely held its breath before scoffing that the Outriders the demo would reach Xbox Game Pass in a tweet. The post even begins by acknowledging the massive amount of news the subscription has had recently. Following that introduction, the tweet reveals an email from McGamepass, officially confirming the addition of a more exciting game launching soon on Game Pass. Though Outriders not mentioned by name, the tracks a “mysterious sign” Y “the anomaly”Clarify the identity of the title.
The news of Outriders The demo and recent Bethesda additions to Game Pass are sure to boost interest in the service, which already had around 18 million subscribers at the beginning of the year. However, rumors abound that the Xbox team isn’t stopping there. Subscribers may also have access to more than 100 games in the Ubisoft catalog by the end of the year, although there has been no official confirmation.
In a special presentation that took place on March 11, representatives of both groups revealed, among other things, that twenty games from some of Bethesda’s most beloved franchises would arrive on Xbox Game Pass the next day. Xbox Game Pass is already a huge value and, by adding the Outriders demo, that value will only increase. With so many announcements going on at once, the service’s tweet is right about one thing – it’s hard to keep up with everything. Honestly though, it’s not a bad problem.
Outriders It is scheduled to release on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox X / S, Stadia, and PC on April 1.
