OnePlus has only been able to update two of its devices to Android 11 and they are the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro. That’s quite disappointing for a company that used to be great at rolling out updates for their devices. If you own an older OnePlus phone and want to know when you will receive the OxygenOS 11 update that is based on Android 11, OnePlus has released a statement providing an update on the timeline for eligible devices.
A post on the OnePlus forums by OxygenOS product leader Gary C., the OnePlus Nord is next in line to get the Android 11 update. The mid-range 5G smartphone will receive its first open beta of OxygenOS. 11 next week. Considering that the post was made yesterday, on Saturday, that means the update will arrive this week.

After getting feedback from the open beta and tweaking the software, OnePlus says it will roll out a phased deployment. How soon it will be is unknown, but our guess is by the end of the month at the earliest.
For OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7T series owners, OnePlus says it has started running a closed beta test following the data encryption issue they recently encountered when they tried to port Android 11 to phones. He hopes to launch an open beta for the phones soon, but did not reveal a specific date.
The Nord N10 5G and Nord N100, as well as the OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T, will also receive the OxygenOS 11 update, but there is no word on when that will be for now. OnePlus says it will reveal more details later.
OxygenOS 11 offers a new user interface for eligible OnePlus devices. This new user interface can now be experienced with the default OnePlus apps, even if you’re running an older software version.
