OnePlus 9 is OnePlus’ next flagship offering, and sources say that the company will launch the smartphone in mid-March. Besides the release date, we now know a lot of other things about the smartphone, courtesy of PhoneArena, which claimed to have obtained the first practical images of the smartphone. These images give us a clear view of the OnePlus 9 from all angles.
As you can see in the images above, the OnePlus 9 has an updated camera module, where you are looking at two larger sensors and a much smaller third camera, and the usual LED flash. The camera bump also features ‘Ultra Shot’ branding. The software running the prototype device suggests that the smartphone will have 48MP and 16MP shooters, although there is still a lot we don’t know about the OnePlus 9 camera.
Looking straight ahead, we can see that the OnePlus 9 prototype device features a flat screen panel and according to PhoneArena, measures 6.55 inches. We can also see that the bezels are thin. Overall, the smartphone looks a lot like the OnePlus 8T.
Speaking of the back of the smartphone, we don’t see the usual OnePlus logo, rather what we are seeing is a logo designed only for prototype OnePlus smartphones.
Also, the OnePlus 9 is confirmed to be based on the Snapdragon 888 processor. The model you are looking at uses 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, but that definitely doesn’t mean we won’t see a taller variant with more storage and RAM. According to PhoneArena, the OnePlus 9 supports a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR content. The smartphone has a screen resolution of 2400 x 1080p (Full-HD +).
We recently reported that OnePlus’ next flagship smartphone will include three models this year, as the company is said to add 9E to the lineup. OnePlus is likely to use the Snapdragon 888 in the 9E as well. Other than that, it will offer Android 11 out of the box, as you would expect from a 2021 flagship phone.
