OnePlus 8 Series Gets November Patch and Tons of Bug Fixes with Latest OxygenOS Update

OnePlus released the OxygenOS Open Beta 4 update for the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro last week, and is now rolling out a new software update (OxygenOS 11.0.2.2) for non-beta users of Snapdragon 865-powered smartphones.

The new version brings the November 2020 Android security patch to the OnePlus 8 duo while improving the stability of communication features and optimizing the split-screen app experience.

Additionally, OxygenOS 11.0.2.2 brings optimizations to improve battery life and includes tons of bug fixes. You can check out the full changelog below for all the details.

    • Further optimizes system power consumption and increases battery life
    • Fixed the issue of the small chance that the enlarged screenshot would stop working
    • Fixed the issue that the cache is not cleared after uninstalling apps
    • Fixed the issue that the screen may flicker when using fingerprint unlock
    • Fixed the issue that the horizon light would not activate normally
    • Fixed the issue of the small probability that NFC cannot be activated
    • Fixed the issue of the small probability that parallel applications cannot be activated.
    • Fixed the issue of the small probability that the Warp Charge 30 wireless charger fan will not work
    • Fixed the issue that the Play Store could not install the app.
    • Android security patch updated to 2020.11

The new update weighs in at around 270MB in size, and as always, OnePlus is rolling it out to a small percentage of users right now, with a wider rollout starting in a few days.
