Microsoft is currently investigating an authentication bug affecting its Office 365 systems.
“As of approximately 21:25 UTC, a subset of Azure Public and Azure Government cloud customers may encounter errors when performing authentication operations for various Microsoft / Azure services, including access to Azure Portals,” the company said. in a send state.
In another post, the company said that users would not be able to access Office.com, Outlook.com, Teams, Power Platform, and Dynamics365.
“Existing customer sessions are not affected and any user who logs into an existing session will be able to continue their sessions,” Microsoft said.
In their Twitter status accountMicrosoft said that the main cause appeared to be a recent change and that it had decided to reverse the change.
“We have reversed the change that is likely the source of the impact and we are monitoring the environment to validate that service is recovering,” the company said, before following up 14 minutes later to say that it was not seeing what it expected to see.
“We are not seeing an increase in successful connections after reversing a recent change. We are working to evaluate additional mitigation solutions while we investigate the root cause.”
