343 Industries intended to launch Infinite Halo later this year as the launch title for the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. Since then, it was announced that the game will be delayed until sometime in 2021 to allow additional time for critical work on the project to be completed.
The developer also recently hired veteran franchise developer Joseph Staten to help complete the game. Staten is playing the role of project leader for the campaign and will help the team finish the last inning.
Both Xbox consoles are expected to launch in November, despite the delay, and pre-orders will also begin on September 22.
