It’s been a great week for news as the PS5 has gotten easier to protect and a PlayStation exclusive is even launching on Xbox Game Pass.
Here is all the news you need to know today!
Oddworld free: Soulstorm update confirmed
Oddworld: Soulstorm will be free for PS5 users as part of their PS Plus subscription when it launches on April 6.
Unfortunately, PS4 users will have to purchase the game if they want to play it at launch.
However, the developers have confirmed that PS4 users will receive a free next-gen update when they finally upgrade to the new systems.
Watch Dogs: Legion Gets Next Gen 60fps Update
Many gamers were disappointed when, despite the 4K visuals and ray tracing, Watch Dogs: Legion launched in the next generation of playback at just 30fps.
But Watch Dogs fans have good news, as a 60fps update is coming in the future.
In a recent Reddit AMA, the Watch Dogs developers revealed their upcoming plans saying:
“60fps for next-gen consoles is in development and we will announce the exact release dates with our future TUs.”
Recently, we’ve seen many next-gen games do this, sometimes without sacrificing visual quality, like Miles Morales now playable at 60fps with ray tracing.
PS5 Stock Update
Smyths is the next to receive a stock update, although it should be a small one.
It was rumored that the resupply could occur yesterday, but it did not happen.
There is a chance that it will happen today, but it will likely be early next week when the stock goes live.
GAME and Argos are also expecting stock between April 8-14, with GAME typically releasing theirs between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. M., While Argos launches between 1 and 4 a.m. M.
Amazon is also said to be getting two shipments this month, so hopefully this will make getting a PS5 a lot easier.
