At this point, many PC gaming enthusiasts have realized that there is a major shortage of GeForce RTX 3080 cards. GPUs launched earlier this week with a lot of excitement and seemingly sold out everywhere right away. This includes the NVIDIA website, where it offers the Founders editions of its new graphics cards. In fact, once the 3080 was released, NVIDIA’s stock sold out so quickly that many who signed up for email notifications didn’t even get a chance.
If you’re one of the many who missed out on buying direct from NVIDIA, you’ll probably like to know that we now have an indication of when these cards will be available again. On the NVIDIA subreddit, a representative from the NIVIDA forums said that the company will have more in stock next week, although we imagine they will sell out at a similar speed as well.
“I cannot comment for our partners, but we will have more cards next week,” said the representative. “Users who previously registered for notifications but did not have the opportunity to place an order will receive an email when the store has been updated with additional GeForce RTX 3080 graphics cards.”

In a follow-up comment, that same rep said there will be no restocking today or this weekend, so you don’t have to spend the weekend obsessively staring at NVIDIA’s website just for a chance to buy a 3080. For Of course, a little problem with this statement is that it doesn’t give us a precise time or date when the 3080s will be available again, so those who have signed up to receive email notifications will probably want to see their inboxes at as we move into next week.
There is a great concern that bots are taking over a large number of GPUs before regular consumers have a chance to buy. While NVIDIA finds a fix for that problem, the company has begun manually reviewing orders earlier this week. While we wait for NVIDIA to restock, the company says that retailers across the country are getting new cards every day, but it seems that getting a card that way requires the same luck. We’ll let you know when NVIDIA announces more, so stay tuned.
