Apple has now released a new update to iCloud Family Sharing that allows Apple users to share their in-app purchases and subscriptions with others. The Cupertino Company has confirmed that in early June at WWDC, the feature will be announced.
Now Apple has finally made this update accessible for users to share subscriptions with their family members. But only those developers and users can use this Family Sharing feature currently using iOS 14 and macOS Big Sur. Remember that this function is not available for all applications. According to the 9to5Mac, the latest feature was seen in iOS 14.2 and iOS 14.3 beta, in addition to macOS Big Sur 11.0.1. Gadgets 360 can confirm the functionality of the feature in iOS 14.2 separately.
Through iCloud Family Sharing, you can share all of your in-app purchases with your family that you have made through your Apple ID. Includes apps, music, movies, Apple News +, Apple TV +, and Apple Music subscriptions. When you sign up for any of these apps, any member of your family will have instant access to the same apps on their own devices and accounts. The activation process for this function is very simple. To use it, go to Settings, then Apple ID and Family Sharing. If your family members have an Apple ID, you can also add them on the Family Sharing tab.

When you’re done adding your family members, go to the Apple ID menu and go to the subscription page. You can go to Exchange New Subscriptions there. Valid subscriptions will then be shared directly with your family members.
App developer Steve Harris tweeted about this update “to take advantage of the feature, developers would still have to individually activate Family Sharing on the app store link portal for their apps.”
However, you have to wait until the feature is rolled out to other apps as well, so that you can share your Netflix subscriptions and top videos with your loved ones. However, Apple did not state this when they made this feature available for older versions of iOS and macOS.
