By hitting October sales figures, the Switch retains its place as the best-selling video game console for the 23rd consecutive month. NPD says that’s the longest streak for any console since it started tracking sales figures. It appears that Doug Bowser, the president of Nintendo of America, believes that the trend will continue for the rest of the holiday shopping season. He said in a statement:
“Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite continue to provide unique gaming experiences on TV or on the go, allowing holiday shoppers to choose a video game system that suits their lifestyle. Seeing encouraging sales growth like this on Nintendo Switch October 4 shows us that the system has many more years and great games to come. “
November sales of the Switch system could be helped by a bundle that Nintendo will release for Black Friday. Starting on November 22, the gaming giant will sell a Switch bundle with a download code for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and an individual 3-month Switch Online subscription for $ 300.
