Marvel’s Avengers will not be coming to Xbox Series X and PS5 this year, Crystal Dynamics confirmed.

The current-gen version of the game, which has received mixed reviews from fans and critics, will continue to work on new consoles, but you’ll only see it boast of improved load times and frame rates.
Fans will have to wait until next year for improved textures and more substantial graphical enhancements.

The news was released in an update earlier this week, which also revealed that Kate Bishop’s Operation was delayed until the end of this month, via the following statement.
We know fans are hungry for new content, but delivering a fun experience is our top priority. With this in mind, we have decided to delay the launch of Operation Kate Bishop a bit from October. We’re sorry for this little delay, but we’re dedicated as a team to quality first. Kate’s new Operation will be a must-play for fans who want to know what’s next in the story!
In Marvel’s Avengers: Kate Bishop – With AIM, Tachyon Rifts becomes the harbinger of a new threat.
As players investigate their source, they will pick up a story that begins shortly after the conclusion of the Reassemble campaign. Next comes Clint (we’ll have more on him later) and looking ahead to 2021, our biggest addition to the Avengers Initiative so far will introduce a new hero, region, and story arc.

On the other hand, the latest NPD sales report revealed that Marvel’s Avengers was September’s best-selling game, but is still behind Spider-Man as the best-selling superhero game.
