The latest report of a Samsung Galaxy S21 leak (which we’ve been calling the Galaxy S30 so far) is quite extensive. Comes from Android Police, which claims to have received information about the upcoming flagship series of Galaxy phones from many sources. The report also claims that it has seen official versions of all three phones in the series, but the story did not release them as it could reveal the identities of their sources.
Galaxy S21 Series Hardware Specifications
All three phones will reportedly have the currently unannounced Samsung Qualcomm 875 processor for some markets, while others will get Samsung’s in-house Exynos 2100 chipset. The Galaxy S21 and S21 Plus will reportedly have 5G support, along with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 wireless hardware. The S21 Ultra will also have 5G and Bluetooth 5.1, but it will have the most advanced Wi-Fi 6E hardware, which according to the report will be twice as fast as Wi-Fi 6.
Battery sizes for the phones will reportedly range from 4,000 mAh for the Galaxy S21, 4800 mAh for the S21 +, and 5000 mAh for the S21 Ultra. All three phones will reportedly launch with the Android 11-based OneOS 3.1 skin.
In terms of display, the report claims that the regular S21 will have a 6.2-inch screen, while the S21 Plus will have a 6.8-inch screen. B0th will support FHD + resolutions and a refresh rate of 120hz. The S21 Ultra will reportedly have a 6.9-inch display, with a WQHD + resolution and an LTPO display that will have an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The Ultra model can also have a very high brightness limit of 1600 nits for the screen and a contrast ratio of 3,000,000: 1. Finally, the report claims that the Ultra phone will support S Pens, but it will not include the stylus in the box.
Galaxy S21 Series Camera Specifications and Features
The report claims that the Galaxy S21 and S21 Ultra will have the same rear camera setup, with a 12MP main sensor, 64MP telephoto camera, and 12MP ultra-wide sensor. The Ultra model will have four rear cameras, according to the report. The main sensor will be a huge 108mp camera, which according to history will be the second generation version of the sensor found in the S20 Ultra and Note 20 Ultra. The S21 Ultra will have a 12MP ultrawide sensor, and the other two cameras will be 10MP. One will have a 3x optical zoom, while the other will be a 10x optical zoom.
Other camera features will reportedly include a way to record from the front and rear cameras at the same time. All the cameras on the phone will support 4K resolutions and video clips shot at 60fps, according to the story, and there will even be support for 8K videos at 30fps.
Other features
The Galaxy S21 will reportedly have Phantom Violet, Phantom Gray, Phantom White, and Phantom Pink color options. The S21 Plus can have Phantom Silver, Phantom Black, and Phantom Violet colors. The S21 Ultra will only have Phantom Silver and Phantom Black color options. The regular S21 will have a plastic back, while the Ultra model will have a glass back.
Speaking of the back, the report claims that recent unofficial versions of the phones are correct in the sense that the camera settings will be placed on the phone’s frame with a slight bump. Depending on the color of the phone, its frame and camera bump will be different colors. The report claims that the Phantom Black color phone will have a black frame and camera bump, while the Phantom Violet and Phantom Pink color models will have a copper body. History says that the Phantom White color model has “a subtle blue tint with a bronze bezel.”
Finally, the S21 Plus and Ultra versions will have 5G Ultra WideBand versions that will likely only be available in the US via Verizon.
As you can see, this Galaxy S21 leak report is very extensive. Please note that this is from unidentified sources so some details could change prior to the phones launch.
