Respawn Entertainment has released a new episode of Stories from the Outlands which focuses on Pathfinder’s past.

The eight-minute episode, titled “Fight Night,” begins with a former detective named Victor Maldera, who is on the hunt for Alexander Nox, better known as Caustic in the game. Pathfinder, a waiter at a restaurant, is soon caught in an altercation with a rogue customer, but is intercepted by Maldera, who interrogates Pathfinder before connecting to his database to find out more.

The Pathfinder databank reveals that the robot was present for multiple major crimes, including Revenant murdering Loba’s parents and Caustic’s attack on Humbert Labs. Before they can delve into the Pathfinder databank, the two are interrupted and hunted by a crime syndicate and specters.

The video also shows Maldera’s background in boxing, which he uses to fight the union. Pathfinder quickly learns the skill, which explains the relic of the character’s boxing gloves.

The most interesting revelation found through the Pathfinder databank at the end of the clip shows that it was created by Dr. Amelie P. as a way to show the world that the Outlands can survive. Dr. Amelie P. speaks with a heavy French accent and glimpses a baby, whom the players began to speculate is Wattson.

‘Fight Night’ is the latest clip released by Respawn Entertainment to give players more context on the history of the game’s characters. The studio recently released a new audio clip of Loba’s confrontation with Revenant and her punishment for killing her parents.
