New AMD Ryzen 7 5800X benchmark leak – faster than Core i9-10900K

AMD is poised to stomp Intel out again later this year, with a new event planned for October 8 where the company will detail its new Zen 3 architecture. One of those chips should be the new Ryzen 7 5800X processor; another is the Ryzen 9 5900X recently announced: a 5GHz 12C / 24T CPU.

A new sighting of the Ryzen 7 5800X processor has popped up within an Ashes of the Singularity benchmark, but as with any rumor (and especially one that uses AotS) I’d be brewing that salt shaker, but we should expect the Ryzen 7 3800X chip to be an 8-core chip, 16 Threaded CPU with some horsepower.

We should see the new Ryzen 7 5800X replacing the Ryzen 7 3800X as a new 8C / 16T powerhouse in the Zen 3 architecture that should keep up with the Core i7-10700K, and it will most likely be compared to that chip, but it does. It seems. it could actually beat the higher-end Core i9-10900K.

Previous leaks on Ryzen 5000 series CPUs clock up to 5 GHz, so if we consider that the Ryzen 7 5800X is clocked close to 5 GHz, then the leaked Ashes of the Singularity benchmark shows that the Ryzen 7 5800X processor outperforms the Core i9-10900K by 16% is a decent beating.

We will know more on October 8 and bring you the latest as we do here at TweakTown until then – in the day and after. Exciting times !!
