The case that was first investigated by the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) on the financial angle and the CBI investigating the mysterious death of Sushant Singh, has also involved the NCB after the ED revealed drug use related to the death of the actor and the first defendant Rhea. Chakraborty.
Shortly after, the NCB team questioned several people, including the main defendant in the case of Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik. Rhea, who previously denied using any drugs, admitted on Saturday to using drugs. She had previously stated that she used to get medications for Sushant but never took them. It was only after NCB made her realize that buying and selling drugs is a more serious crime than self-use. She even admitted that her team instructed her not to reveal anything about it, however NCB sources said that she also revealed names of prominent actors.
Additionally, NCB is now investigating Shiromani Akali Dal spokesperson Manjinder Singh Sirsa’s complaint regarding the video from the 2019 Bollywood party and the team is now submitting the video to the forensic lab to verify its authenticity.
