Tonight’s Forecast:
A weak cold front will fall from the north during the night hours, maintaining gusty winds in some areas. This front can also lead to some light snow showers in the mountains of northern and central Colorado, with generally dry skies for southern Colorado.
COLORADO SPRINGS: Low: 19; High: 49. A cold start to our Sunday will end with mild afternoon temperatures as we climb to near 50 degrees. A weak disturbance will cause an increase in clouds later in the day, but without precipitation.
Low town: sixteen; High: 53. The weather on Sunday will be very similar to that on Saturday, perhaps with a few more clouds in the late afternoon due to a weak disturbance moving away from the mountains.
CANON CITY: Low: 2. 3; High: 51. Windy and mild Sunday afternoon after a cold morning. No rain or snow is expected in Fremont County on Sunday.
WOODED PARK: Low: 14; High: 41. Early sunny skies followed by rising clouds and stronger breezes during the afternoon hours. Maximum wind gusts of 40 mph.
TRI-LAGOS: Low: 10 s; High: 40 years. Sunny in the morning, with clouds rising during the afternoon hours. The thaw should continue as the highs rise in the mid-40s.
PLAINS: Low: 10s / 20s; High: 40/50. Most of our Sunday will be sunny, but a bit windy. We will see increasing clouds for Sunday night, but no rain or snow is expected.
WALSENBURG / TRINIDAD: Low: 20 years; High: 40/50. If you liked the weather on Saturday, you will be happy with the forecast for Sunday. The afternoon highs will be slightly above average and the westerly winds will be gusty at times.
MOUNTAINS: Low: 0s / 10s; High: 20/30 years. Windy and cold in the mountains, with dangerous wind chill values possible at higher elevations. Some snowfall will be possible in the late afternoon and evening, but generally north of Cottonwood Pass.
Extended Outlook:
Calm, dry weather will persist Monday as a moderate northwest flow pattern continues over southern Colorado. Tuesday will be windy and warmer before a small disturbance moves away from the mountains on Tuesday night. Light snow is likely in the mountains Tuesday, with a few possible flurries around the Pikes Peak region Tuesday night. Behind the storm, our weather on Wednesday will be dry, windy and colder.
