On the most recent Major Nelson Xbox Official Podcast, the show’s head of development, Jason Ronald, talked about upcoming features that he and his team have been working on, and that could be up in just a few months.

Speaking with Lawrence Hryb, also known as Major Nelson, Ronald discussed the team’s efforts to bring the Quick Resume feature to various titles, expand the functionality of the Xbox mobile app to include achievements, and improve streaming options related to the DVR function.

Ronald commented on the features, stating, “These are areas that are really a high priority for us as we are seeing future updates in the coming months and you may start to see some of these experiences in the Insider rings very soon.”

The team is also working on reported issues, such as controller disconnect issues that are impacting players’ experiences with the console. “That’s another area that the team has really been investing in to make sure you get the best-in-class experience on Xbox Series X and Series S,” he said.

The Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X launched in November of last year and it is estimated that they sold around 3.5 million units between the two consoles. Like Sony, Microsoft has struggled to meet demand since launch with a significant production shortage for both consoles, particularly the X Series. Microsoft released a statement on the X Series production in January, stating: building as fast as we can. “

Microsoft’s Game Pass service recently passed a major milestone, reaching a total of 18 million subscribers.
