Microsoft is preparing to launch a new and affordable model in the Surface portable range, states a report from Windows Central.
According to the report, the company is working on a 12.5-inch Surface laptop codenamed Sparti, which will position itself as a more affordable Surface laptop …
The report claims that the supposedly affordable Surface laptop is expected to offer a lightweight clamshell PC design that is said to come with the 10th Gen Intel Core i5 processor.
The next affordable Surface laptop is said to fill the price gap between the Surface Go and Surface pro, which start at Rs 38,599 and Rs 79,999 respectively.
The report claims that the company has not made any compromises on the build quality of the device.
Sources that have their eyes on engineered prototypes say that Sparti looks and feels like a typical Surface product, which means that Microsoft has not compromised on build quality to achieve a lower price. It is also very lightweight and its smaller screen means that the overall size of the device is more compact, making it a great travel laptop, ”the report says.
Whether it reaches India or not remains to be seen.
Meanwhile, the company has confirmed the availability date of its Xbox Series S console as November 10 through a teaser video. In the video, the company has also confirmed that the console will be the “smallest Xbox ever” and will come with a custom 512GB NVMe SSD. It will also support 1440p games at up to 120fps.
