Massive ‘Marvel’s Avengers’ patch fixes over 1,000 bugs

Square Enix has released a big update for Marvel Avengers that focus on solving problems that affect the game on consoles and PC. It’s the first major update to the title since its release earlier this month, and it’s aimed at fixing more than a thousand bugs that players have found in the last two weeks. The extensive changelog includes fixes for serious issues preventing progression, as well as minor graphics and animation adjustments.

The developer officially unveiled the game in mid-2019, two years after it signed a multi-year development contract with Marvel. It was supposed to launch the title on May 15, but the company delayed its release to refine the ad polish. Square Enix shot Marvel Avengers is an action-role-playing fighting game set in the team’s second headquarters in San Francisco with single-player, multiplayer, and online cooperative modes. Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Black Widow, and Ms. Marvel make up the initial set of playable characters, with Kate Bishop, Clint Barton, and Spider-Man joining them in the future.
