Following the recent PS5 game showcase in September, Insomniac Games revealed that Marvel’s Spider-Man is being remastered for the PS5, featuring ray tracing, a performance mode, and more. This remaster is included with Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Launch Edition and if you want to play it, you cannot use your PS4 game save.
This was confirmed by Insomniac the Twitter, who also confirmed that there are no plans for a physical release. The study has not clarified whether or not there will be an upgrade path for players who own the PS4 game.

The PS5 and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales will launch on November 12 in a handful of countries, with a broad release on November 19. Pre-orders are already open, although they also sell out fairly quickly once they are restocked.
