Marvel’s Avengers is about to get a huge patch with dozens of fixes

Marvel’s Avengers was plagued with many bugs at launch, but the developers have taken the first step in fixing the game.

The highly anticipated patch V1.3.0 is now available for PC gamers and will be available for console players at 6pm PST on Friday.

Many of the fixes were based on player feedback. For example, players can now see progress after being revived. The biggest complaint from users (at least from what we saw on the subreddit) was that it was difficult to know when the challenges would be updated. The patch will introduce a global content update and challenge reset time every day. Challenges will restart every Thursday at 10am PT.

Verizon offers Pixel 4a for just $ 10 / mo in new unlimited lines

Players will also earn 22 Challenge Points per Hero starting September 25 at 10 AM PT.

The Combat section is the most extensive in the patch notes, with numerous fixes for characters getting stuck or not moving properly. For example, there was apparently an issue with Black Widow not being able to move down the stairs when aiming his high caliber pistol. Various improvements have been made here as well. Iron Man’s Hyper Coils ability now has a duration increase of 10 seconds and it is easier for Embiggened Kamala to revive downed enemies. The fight against adaptoids (the AI infused with inhuman abilities) has also been modified.

The patch notes are very extensive, one of the longest we’ve seen for a recent game, but these are some of the highlights. You can read the rest here.

  • “Fixed an issue where A-Day would not progress if the player started the campaign from the War Table after selecting the Avengers Initiative first.”
  • “” Fixed an issue where the crafting machine would occasionally not reward an outfit (or units if it was a duplicate pattern). “
  • “Fixed an issue that prevented” Interrogation Anxiety “from completing.
  • “The Captain America character model bug in the” Front Line “outfit was fixed.
  • Various fixes for bad save state issues.
  • Skip to a global update time each week for challenges and other content.
  • The team fixed several places where the player can go out of bounds or get stuck in geometry.
  • “Matchmaking now remains enabled during the mission launch countdown to give players more time to bond.”
  • “When approaching hacked terminals with a hero lacking that ability, a tutorial is now displayed explaining why it cannot be accessed.”
  • “The icon on the war table now has a different appearance when a new mission is available.”
  • “Reward icons for some missions have been corrected to show actual rewards.”
  • Various rag doll problems.

Crystal Dynamics’ and Square Enix’s Marvel’s Avengers launched to mixed reviews. While we praised the game in our Marvel’s Avengers review for its solid storyline and surprisingly complex gameplay, we couldn’t get over the repetitive multiplayer grind and various bugs.
