In her video, she says, “I remember they called and said, ‘Marvel is interested in you playing Captain Marvel,’ and I was like, ‘Oh, I can’t do that. I’m like, I have too much anxiety. ‘ However, Larson eventually agreed to play the role.
When Larson met with them, he saw the progressive approach they were taking with the film. Speaking to ABC News, she stated how Marvel Studios wanted to make a highly feminist movie. She had met with the writers and enjoyed what they had to say.
