The Liverpool fans have sent a transfer message to the Arsenal player Martin Odegaard, who is on loan with Mikel Arteta’s men from Real Madrid until the end of the season.
Arsenal came back from 3-0 against West Ham to draw 3-3, giving Liverpool a boost in their quest for the Champions League as they chase a place in the top four.
The Reds are now three points behind the fifth-ranked Hammers with nine games to play.
Odegaard played the full 90 minutes at London Stadium and impressed Liverpool fans with his performance.
This is what some fans posted on Twitter after seeing his performance in the capital.
LukeLetiss: Martin Odegaard is a footballer. A player Liverpool have been looking for since Coutinho left
EagleEyeReady: Soon he will be Liverpool’s Odegaard. He also supports Liverpool. You love to see it!
IAMMW14: Martin Odegaard in Liverpool, that’s what I need to make his dream come true
LFCDave: Liverpool need a CAM like Odegaard
@Behwiwnebejw: We should have been all over Odegaard. He is also a Liverpool fan, incredible player
@uuhhKieran: get this boy from Odegaard in a Liverpool jersey next season
Liverpool were one of the clubs that tried to sign Odegaard when he left Stromsgodset in Norway at the age of 16.
Former Norwegian international – and current commentator – Jan Aage Fjortoft was one of those who advised the midfielder where to move, with the feeling in Madrid now that the move to Real was the right one.
Fjortoft told ECHO: “He [was] playing fantastically well for Real Sociedad [on loan last season] – they extended his contract at Real Madrid – and at that moment, he made the right decision.
“It was quite simple: I couldn’t get into any first team, I could train with the first teams. [but not play].
“He had to go where he would get more football and Real Madrid had a second team, coached at the time by a guy named Zinedine Zidane!
“For me, at the time, when I gave him advice, it was about where he could develop best.”
Liverpool, Bayern Munich and Arsenal were the other most prominent clubs in the discussion at the time, but none had a second team competitive enough to match their skill level.

It was too early to play senior first-team football in one of the biggest leagues in Europe at the time and therefore he needed competitive academy football.
In England, there is too much of a gap between Premier League 2, where the under-23 teams play, and the first team, and it might not have been so beneficial for Odegaard to play regularly there.
At Bayern Munich there is a similar problem, leaving Real Madrid as the obvious destination.
Now, however, having failed to secure a spot on his first team regularly with three seasons under his belt, it’s understandable that questions are being asked about his future.
Heading into the summer, it seems that Liverpool supporters would certainly not be against lying at Anfield.
