Man Utd identifies goal of defender transfer that Arsenal and Tottenham couldn’t afford | Soccer Sport

Manchester United have seen a move for Norwich star Max Aarons ahead of the January transfer window. It comes just a few months after neither Arsenal nor Tottenham managed to get the English. Barcelona was also interested in the defender.

United are desperate to strengthen their defense, particularly in the center and right back.

Even though Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is a huge fan of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, there is not much competition at the position, such as on the left back.

On the other side, both Luke Shaw and Alex Telles battle for a spot in the starting eleven.

But Wan-Bissaka has people like Brandon Williams and Tim Fosu-Mensah competing with him and Solskjaer is looking for more quality in his team.

It comes after a last gasp win against Wolves in the Premier League that suddenly made the Red Devils title contenders.

United came second after Marcus Rashford scored in the fourth minute of extra time against Nuno Espirito Santo’s men, two points behind Liverpool.

And Old Trafford bosses want to keep the momentum going by spending money in the January transfer window.

Norwich star Aarons is the main target, hunted by both Tottenham and Arsenal in the summer.

However, both teams from London failed to raise the sale price of the Canary ace, while Barcelona were also linked to the 20-year-old.

England Under-21s have been touted for stardom with some brilliant displays that helped Norwich initially rise to the Premier League.

And despite his decline, he stayed at Carrow Road and continued his good form in the Championship.

Arsenal ended up staying with Héctor Bellerin but was able to look at Aarons once again with Mikel Arteta happy to let the Spaniard go to Barca.

While at Spurs, José Mourinho may once again consider a move for the Norwich star with Serge Aurier proving to be a disadvantage at times, while summer signing Matt Doherty has not shone as El Especial would have hoped.

But United are the favorite for his signature after seeing the defender several times throughout the season.
