Lucknow man arrested with 2.7 kg of imported marijuana

New Delhi [India]September 20 (ANI): The Narcotics Control Office (NCB) seized 2.7 kg of marijuana imported from the United States and arrested a man in connection with the case.

According to the NCB, the accused has been identified as C Gidwani, a resident of Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh. You have accepted your involvement in importing premium marijuana from the USA.

“Based on specific information, the NCB team had seized a package bound for India from the US on August 31, 2020 from DHL courier services in Delhi. Said package was found to contain 2, 7 kg of premium marijuana imported from the USA The investigation of the case with the help of digital analysis led the NCB team to consignee C. Gidwani, a Lucknow resident. On September 18, 2020, he was arrested and accepted their participation, “the NCB said in a statement.

Necessary digital evidence was also seized, it added.

The defendant has admitted that he used to import these packages on a regular basis for the past year and a half for himself and for later distribution to his friends. He used to order the drugs from the United States through Instagram or Wickr and payments were made through bitcoins, the NCB said.

The defendant revealed that he used to obtain charas and marijuana from suppliers based in Delhi and Bengaluru. More research is being done on back and forward links. (AND ME)
