An anonymous 911 call was made the night Johnny Depp and Amber Heard had the fight that ended their toxic 18-month marriage being released today for the first time.
The recording was buried in legal files for almost four years, but now DailyMail.com can exclusively reveal both its explosive content and the tantalizing new questions it raises about the ex-couple’s infamous confrontation.
“Hello, I need to report an assault that is happening now at 849 Broadway in the East Building, it’s Penthouse Three,” begins the caller, referring to the luxurious home that Depp and Heard previously shared in downtown Los Angeles.
Refusing to give a name, the caller explains that a friend named Amber is being attacked by a man described simply as a “boyfriend,” and says, “I know it is happening and I just need to remain anonymous.”
‘So what did she say this guy assaulted her or hit her?’ the LAPD operator responds, explaining that he needs more details.
“Physically assaulting her, yes,” responds the caller, shaking. “Send someone there, please,” adds the caller, reiterating the location of the couple’s luxurious attic before the recording abruptly ends.
With the date and time set at 8:27:27 pm on Saturday, May 21, 2016, it appears the call was made around the time that Heard claims Depp was enraged, threw a cell phone at his face, and ripped him off. strands of hair.

Heard’s attorney says phone records and police records claim Heard’s account of the final episode of domestic violence he suffered before filing for divorce. In the photo: a lock of Heard’s hair that she said Depp plucked from his hair the night of the fight.
His attorney says phone records and police department records claim Heard’s account of the latest shocking episode of domestic violence he suffered before filing for divorce.
However, Depp’s legal team says this recording does the exact opposite, increasing discrepancies in the various accounts that Heard and his allies have given about the notorious dust.
Her attorney also questions the identity of the caller, noting that the female voice in the clip does not belong to iO Tillett Wright, a transgender activist and listener who has since recorded that she said she dialed 911.
Depp, 56, claims he never put his finger on his 33-year-old ex-wife and accused her of fabricating an ‘abuse cheat’ to increase her profile.
The couple is currently fighting in court after Heard wrote a 2018 opinion piece describing his experiences as a survivor of domestic violence, and the Pirates of the Caribbean actor responded by filing a $ 50 million libel suit.
Their rival accounts of the May 2016 fight, the bitter final chapter of their troubled five-year relationship, will likely play a key role in deciding the case, which will be presented to a jury later this year.
Heard has claimed that he was on the phone with Tillett Wright when Depp launched his alleged attack, grabbed the device, and threw it at her while trying to speak to him about his marital problems.
Depp’s attorney is also questioning the identity of the caller, noting that the female voice in the clip does not belong to iO Tillett Wright (pictured), a trans activist and Heard’s confidant who has registered to say he dialed 911
Expanding on the incident in an op-ed for Refinery29, titled ‘Why did I call 911,’ Tillett Wright said she had witnessed Depp abuse Heard on previous occasions.
They suggest that the 911 call at 8:27 p.m. It was performed by a different woman named Raquel Pennington (pictured), a yoga instructor and close friend of the Aquaman actress who ‘lived without paying rent’ in a neighboring apartment also owned by Depp.
“ He is hitting my face, moving me and he has grabbed my hair and it’s hard to describe, it’s almost like pulling me from side to side with my hair, ” he said in a videotaped statement for his divorce case. 2016.
“ He’s still grabbing my head right now and he said, I don’t know if he’s trying to grab me in the face, but he’s yelling at me, yelling, look how much I hit you. I’m screaming at the top of my lungs, help, help, please help.
That account was corroborated by Tillett Wright, who issued a June 2016 statement through Heard’s attorneys saying he heard over the loudspeaker as Depp launched into “cruel and cruel anger.”
‘Then I heard Amber cry in fear and beg Johnny to stop her attack, then I heard Amber scream’ Call 911 ‘before the call was disconnected. I called 911 to save Amber’s life, ” he said.
Expanding on the incident in an op-ed for Refinery29, titled ‘Why did I call 911,’ Tillett Wright said she had witnessed Depp abusing Heard on previous occasions.
“So when it happened again, when I was on the phone with both of them and I heard him fall, I heard him say,” What if I rip your hair off? And she screamed for my help, I asked myself so many times before if I should break the code of silence that surrounds celebrities and invite the police into the situation, and in a split second I decided yes, that I was going to do it. ” wrote
However, Depp’s legal team points to a LAPD log showing that Tillett Wright’s call was not logged on her system until 10:09 p.m., about an hour and a half after the alleged attack.
They suggest that the 8:27 p.m. call to 911 was made by a different woman named Raquel Pennington, a yoga instructor and close friend of the Aquaman actress who ‘lived without paying rent’ in a neighboring apartment also owned by Depp.
“ He is hitting my face, moving me and he has grabbed my hair and it’s hard to describe, it’s almost like pulling me from side to side with my hair, ” he said in a videotaped statement for his divorce case. 2016 (pictured). The former lovebirds met on the set of The Rum Diary in 2011, married four years later, but separated in May 2016.
Heard called the abuse “horrible” that she claims to have suffered at the hands of Depp, describing him as “the monster” and remembering many of the accusations he made during their divorce. The presentation included photos of bruises and scars (left and right)
“Hello, I need to report an assault right now at 849 Broadway in the East Building, it’s Penthouse Three,” begins the caller, referring to the luxurious home Depp and Heard previously shared in downtown Los Angeles ( in the photo)
Pennington, one of the first people on the scene after the alleged assault, did not respond to a request for comment from DailyMail.com.
However, he was specifically asked if he had dialed 911 in a July 2016 statement.
‘What steps did you take at any time from the moment you entered the department until now to call the police they asked, under oath?
Pennington replied, “iO had already called the police.”
Depp’s legal team says the Oscar nominee was seen on surveillance video leaving the apartment at 8:29 p.m. and knew nothing about Heard’s alleged injuries until she filed for a restraining order six days later and attended to court with a bruised face.
The domestic violence case ultimately failed when the two LAPD officers who answered the 8:27 p.m. call, Melissa Saenz and Tyler Hadden, said they never found evidence of a crime.
Officer Sáenz said in a July 2016 statement that the couple left a business card and didn’t know it until two weeks later, the man involved was Johnny Depp.
Saenz said he also learned that a second patrol visited the attic later that same night.
He did not remember the names of the officers, but said in his testimony: “His findings were the same as ours.”
Depp’s attorney Adam Waldman said the various discrepancies showed that nothing that Heard and his friends said about the events of May 21, 2016 could be considered credible.
‘This was simply an ambush, a hoax. They installed Mr. Depp by calling the police, but the first attempt did not work, ” he told DailyMail.com.
Depp has always argued that he was the victim of an “elaborate hoax” instigated by his ex-wife, who “faked” her injuries with makeup and falsified accounts of abuse. He alleges in his lawsuit: ‘Mrs. Heard is not a victim of domestic abuse; she is the perpetrator. She hit me, hit me and kicked me. He also repeatedly and frequently threw objects at my body and head, including heavy bottles, soda cans, lighted candles, television remote controls, and cans of paint thinners, seriously injuring me.
Johnny Depp jokes that his severed finger sprouted like ‘Vesuvius’ after being severed during a bloody fight with ex-wife Amber Heard in Australia in an exclusive video obtained by DailyMail.com

‘Officers arrived at the attics, searched and interviewed thoroughly, and left after seeing no damage to the face or property.
So Amber and her friends spilled some wine and mistreated the place, told their stories directly under the direction of a lawyer and publicist, and then made a second call to 911.
“But even this did not have the desired effect because two LAPD officers trained in domestic abuse would later provide a pair of affidavits saying they saw no evidence of a crime.”
“These lies about who made the calls and when they are just the tip of the iceberg, as the evidence will show in court.”
Heard’s legal team dismissed those allegations as “fantasies.”
“Mr. Depp’s representations of 911 calls on the night of May 21, 2016 are false, and Mr. Depp and his attorneys should know better,” said his attorney, Roberta Kaplan.
‘All the evidence, including the sworn testimony of multiple witnesses, phone records, and police department records, is consistent with the truthful statement given by Mr. Tillet Wright.
Despite Mr. Depp’s efforts to misrepresent the facts and harass and intimidate Ms. Heard and various witnesses, we still live in a world where certain things are true and others are false.
“Here are the real facts of what happened and then there are Mr. Depp’s selfish fantasies.”
Tillett Wright’s attorney, Lauren Schwartz, told DailyMail.com that her client was in New York on May 21, 2016 and when she called 911 she reached the New York police.
She says he can demonstrate that he made the call at 11:16 pm ET at 8:16 pm in Los Angeles, and that the 1.5 hour delay was simply the time it took the NYPD. formally submit the incident to the LAPD.
Schwartz said Tillett Wright had asked a friend who lived in Los Angeles to make a second call, fearing the two police forces would drag their heels as they assaulted Heard.
He did not name the friend or confirm whether it was Pennington.
‘Sir. Wright supports his truthful account of the events of May 21, 2016, ” said Schwartz.
Mr. Depp’s team, desperate to discredit this timeline, has mounted a calculated attack on Mr. Wright. Although they have access to the records that corroborate Mr. Wright, they are instead releasing only chosen and misleading portions of the record.
‘Sir. Depp’s effort to paint Mr. Wright as a fraud or a liar is simply an effort to rewrite history. The truth of Mr. Wright’s statements will be demonstrated through documents and testimony when this case finally reaches trial.
Depp and Heard met on the set of The Rum Diary in 2011 and were married four years later, before their fight in May 2016 was the final nail in their chaotic relationship.
The separated couple managed to reach a $ 7 million divorce settlement in August of that year, however, their enmity was rekindled when Heard’s op-ed was published in December 2018.
He didn’t mention Depp by name, but he sued her the following March anyway, saying it led to speculation that he was the abuser and made him lose the role of Captain Jack Sparrow.
Depp has always argued that he was the victim of an “elaborate hoax” instigated by his ex-wife, who “faked” her injuries with makeup and falsified accounts of abuse.
‘Em. Heard is not a victim of domestic abuse; she is the perpetrator, “her lawsuit alleges.
‘She hit me, hit me and kicked me. He also repeatedly and frequently threw objects at my body and head, including heavy bottles, soda cans, lighted candles, television remote controls and cans of paint thinner, which seriously injured me. ”
Heard responded with a 300-page presentation, cataloging the years of alleged abuse he suffered at the hands of the ‘monster’ and recalling many of the accusations he made during his divorce.
These included a creepy account of how Depp cut his own finger after a drink of alcohol and ecstasy a month after his marriage, an accusation that he denies.
