Imagine sitting on your bed enjoying your favorite movie while you can watch the rest of the room. Imagine being on the subway looking out the window at the views while reading important information about your trip.

Multiple applications
This is what the latest transparent OLEDs from LG Display offer.
“Transparent OLED is a technology that maximizes the benefits of OLED and can be used in various places in our daily lives, from shops, shopping malls, and architectural interiors to autonomous vehicles, subways and airplanes,” said Jong-sun Park. Senior Vice President and Head of Commercial Business Unit at LG Display. He added: “It will become a next-generation display that can change the existing display paradigm.”
LG Display’s 55-inch clear OLED screen offers 40% transparency compared to the existing clear LCD with only 10% transparency. This new and improved transparency offers many benefits.
A smart bed
LG Display uses as an example a Smart Bed that allows users to sleep and relax in front of an entertaining screen that allows them to browse and view their favorite content without hiding what is happening in the room. This seems especially ideal if you have children or pets.
This new display also comes equipped with immersive Cinematic Sound OLED (CSO) built into the frame. This means that no external speakers are required.
Lastly, the Smart Bed Mobile Screen Frame can be easily transported to other rooms in the house, providing entertainment and clear views wherever you choose to go. The new screen and Smart Bed will be exhibited in CES 2021 and we must admit that we are excited to give it a try.
