Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga delayed, no longer has a launch window

Another day, another important title being postponed. This time it’s TT Games Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, which will no longer be released this spring and no longer has an official release window. The developer announced the delay in a tweet saying that they “will not be able to make it to the release date scheduled for spring.” They stated that they would provide an updated release time as soon as they can, but at the moment, the game does not have a specific release deadline.

For those who do not know Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga consists of nine Lego star wars titles, all of which are adaptations of their film counterparts. The titles are made with ironic humor, as players can literally play with the entire environment and change it with multiple types of Legos, as well as characters. In this entry, players will be able to use up to 500 different Star Wars characters. Players will also be able to start at any point throughout the franchise, along with an expanded mission count for increased playtime.

The title was originally announced during E3 2019. There was an initial release for a 2020 release period, but it was quickly removed before the developer gave it a spring release for 2021. This will be the first actual release. Lego star wars game since 2017 Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and will also be the first to fully adapt episodes eight and nine in the Lego universe. Hopefully the developer will have a new release date ready in the near future, or at least a release time frame.
