Leaked Google Marketing Image Shows Pixel 5 In Green

[ad_1]

The Google Pixel 5 is rumored to launch in a new color green (green? Green?) In addition to black, but you don’t have to wait until the end of this month to see what it will look like. That same configuration of Google’s upcoming flagship phone appears to be exposed in a leaked marketing shot, spotted by WinFuture (via 9to5Google). The phone is face down on its screen, leaving the rear fingerprint sensor and the all-plastic rear visible, and both details line up with the rumors so far.

Unsurprisingly, given how much Google tech tends to leak, this image also offers another look at Google’s Nest Audio smart speaker and its new Chromecast running Google TV’s revamped interface. Both products were recently spotted in retail stores in the US, so not only does this leak appear to be legitimate, but their launch is likely imminent. Good job Google!

Looking at this image should put you pretty much up to speed on what we expect Google to release at its next hardware event on September 30. But to recap, Google’s Pixel 5 is its new flagship phone, and the rumored specs include a six-inch OLED screen, a 5G-ready Snapdragon 765G processor, 8GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage, a 4,080mAh battery, IP68 waterproofing, and 18W USB-C fast charging.

The Pixel 5 is said to debut alongside the Pixel 4A 5G, a high-end version of the Pixel 4A that can connect to 5G networks. The new Chromecast is rumored to include a remote control and, unlike previous iterations, it will run the new Google TV UI rather than simply serving as a device that can stream content from phones to televisions.

We won’t have long to wait to see what Google has in store for hardware for the rest of 2020. It will host an event on Wednesday, September 30 at 11am PT / 2pm ET. We will have in-depth coverage of the event and the devices announced during it, on the site, so stay tuned.
