We’re really looking forward to the OnePlus 8T unveiling on October 14, but authentic-looking leaks keep coming in to give us a preview of what this flagship phone will bring.
Our last initial look at the OnePlus 8T comes courtesy of case maker Case Mate (via Phandroid), who has posted a list of one of their cases showing how the phone’s rear camera module has been designed (see image then). ).
The list doesn’t really reveal anything we haven’t seen before in previous leaks, but it seems to confirm that the OnePlus 8T will come with a quad-lens camera on the rear: 48MP + 16MP + 5MP + 2MP with ultra-wide capabilities, we’ve heard.
That’s one more camera lens than the OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro had, although the main sensor is 48 megapixels. We will have to wait and see what OnePlus has done in both hardware and software to improve the performance of the camera.
Another little piece of information that has just come in about the OnePlus 8T is its size: 162.8 x 75.5 x 8.4mm (9.3mm with the camera bump), according to a well-known insider. @OnLeaks.
That’s a bit bigger than all the phones we’ve seen from OnePlus recently, including the OnePlus 7T, OnePlus 8, and OnePlus Nord. However, it probably won’t change your idea much if you plan to buy it.
We know that the OnePlus 8T will come with a 6.55-inch 120Hz refresh rate display (OnePlus told us directly) and we also know that there won’t be a Pro model of the phone this year, so adjust your expectations accordingly.
Other rumors we’ve heard before the big reveal are that the OnePlus 8T will cost you € 799 (roughly $ 935, £ 725, AU $ 1,305). Other details, such as super fast charging and Android 11 on board, have now been confirmed by OnePlus.
