Latest Google Pixel 5 leak shows new mint green color

This isn’t our first encounter with the Google Pixel 5, in fact we’ve seen its nearly complete spec sheet and a couple of images. Now leaker Evan Blass has shared even more images, this time showing the back of the phone and a new color.

That color is the mint green we never got with the Pixel 4 (leaks notwithstanding). Earlier today, images of the Pixel 4a 5G appeared, but only in black. Also, the 4a 5G version seems to have a smooth finish on the back panel.

Unlike the Pixel 5, which has a textured finish, that should give it grip and resistance to fingerprints. Also note that the previously flagship Pixel line now uses a common rear-mounted fingerprint reader.

Google Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a 5G will be announced on September 30 (next Wednesday). They will both work with the Snapdragon 765G chipset and it appears that they will both have the same camera setup. The noticeable difference will be in the display: the 5 has a 6.0 “90 Hz OLED panel, while the 4th 5G will have a slightly larger 6.2” 60 Hz panel.
