José Mourinho faces a battle to keep Tanguy Ndombele in Tottenham

Jose Mourinho fears that Tanguy Ndombele is plotting an escape route from Tottenham.

But Mourinho is determined to try to change the Nursbele Spurs’ career and wants to help make it a success at White Hart Lane.

It comes after sources close to Ndombele reported in France that the £ 55m midfielder is considering his future after his public training session with Mourinho this week.

Mourinho called Ndombele’s intercom and said, “Come down, let’s go jogging,” and his work at Hadley Common caused outrage at ignoring the government’s social distancing patterns.

Tanguy Ndombele could leave Tottenham

Subsequently, the head of Tottenham, Mourinho, issued a humble statement in which he admitted that he was wrong, but it is believed that he fell ill with the players, including Ndombele.

Mourinho has already had a difficult relationship with the France midfielder who called him publicly after replacing him at halftime at Burnley last month.

Sky expert Jamie Carragher called Ndombele’s performance a “disgrace” as the former Lyon star has struggled to adjust to English football and the Premier League.

It seems that Ndombele is already restless in Tottenham now and the public reaction after last week would not have helped.

Ndombele only joined last summer

The club was understood to be disappointed with Mourinho after the public training session at Hadley Common, which ended with Davison Sanchez and Ryan Sessegnon, who live nearby, also being photographed as they went running.

But Mourinho firmly believes that he can turn things around with Ndombele and, despite his misplaced actions, his intentions were genuine in trying to help the player.

Mourinho knows that Tottenham faces a major problem with finances since, like many clubs, they face a difficult task due to the coronavirus crisis.

That means Mourinho will have little room to buy players and must work and improve the players he already has and is determined to do exactly that with Ndombele.
