The iPhone 12 will be one of the biggest smartphone launches of the year, but Apple fans are still waiting for an official announcement for the big presentation. Usually Apple unveils its latest and greatest iPhones during an annual event in September, but it looks like this year the new range of iPhones will be announced in October. And ahead of the official confirmation of Apple’s iPhone 12 release plans, iOS fans have been told that the big reveal is “just days away.”

The news is courtesy of Marc Allera, CEO of UK communications giant BT and EE.

As revealed in a MacRumors post, an internal video has emerged featuring Allera discussing the upcoming iPhone 12 release.

The head of EE and BT said: “We are just days away from Apple’s next big launch, a 5G iPhone, which will be a big boost for 5G.”

“Teams from all parts of Consumer have been preparing throughout the year to win this launch and be the number one partner in Europe for Apple.”

Eddy Cue, Apple’s head of services, also appeared in the video, praising EE for being the first operator to offer smartphone plans bundled with various Apple services.

Services EE offers include Apple Music, Apple Arcade, and Apple TV +.

It remains to be seen when exactly Apple will hold its iPhone 12 event, with rumors so far pointing towards Tuesday, October 13.

As with ProMotion technology, this new sensor had previously appeared on the iPad Pro, but is now rumored to be coming to iPhones for the first time.

Elsewhere, EAP said that the iPhone 12 range, as previously rumored, will not come with a USB charging or a pair of wired Apple EarPods. But instead, you’ll get a new threaded lighting cable that should make it more durable and less susceptible to fraying or other types of damage from use over time.

The iPhone 12 will also feature a number of new colors: a new shade of orange, purple, and light blue.

All versions of the iPhone 12 will be powered by the A14 Bionic chip, while the line is also expected to include the first 5G iPhones.

The iPhone 12 range will offer a variety of sizes, with the 6.1-inch iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro and the 5.4-inch iPhone 12 Mini.

While the iPhone 12 Pro Max will be the largest device in this year’s iPhone 2020 lineup (6.7 inches).

Unlike previous years, all iPhone 12 models are rumored to feature an OLED screen, which will be a huge step forward for those using the iPhone 11’s Liquid Retina HD display.

The iPhone 12 is also expected to do away with the curved edges seen on iPhone devices since the iPhone 6, opting for flatter edges similar to those seen on the iPhone 4.
