Celebrities unite for farmers
A large number of Punjab actors, singers, songwriters and sportsmen have expressed solidarity with farmers in ongoing protests in the national capital. Farmers from all over the country have gathered in Delhi to protest against the new agricultural laws implemented by the Center. Started by farmers in Punjab, people from Haryana and Uttar Pradesh have now joined the protest.

Diljit also criticized Kangana Ranaut for his misleading tweet about one of the protesters. Kangana had labeled it as a paid protest, who was available to participate in the protests for 100 rupees, and also mistakenly identified it as Shaheen Baug’s daadi. The protester in the photo is actually an old man from Bhatinda. Kangana was forced to delete the tweet after receiving a massive backlash. But he has yet to apologize for the false claims he made about it.
