Intel India: Acer to Launch New Laptop on Intel’s 11th Gen Evo Platform in India in November

NEW DELHI: Taiwanese PC company Acer announced plans Thursday to launch a new laptop based on Intel’s latest Evo platform that is based on 11th-generation Intel Core processors.

Computer processor giant Intel introduced 11th Gen Intel Core processors with Intel Iris Xe graphics.

“We should launch this product during the holiday season, sometime in October and November, to kick off the Aspire Z series,” said Sudhir Goel, Acer India Chief Commercial Officer, at an Intel virtual conference.

According to Intel, more than 150 11th Gen Intel Core processor-based designs are expected to be available from partners such as Acer, Asus, Dell, Dynabook, HP, Lenovo, LG, MSI, Razer, Samsung, and others.

“More than 20 verified designs are expected this year,” Intel said in a statement.

Intel India Vice President and General Manager (Sales, Marketing and Communications) Prakash Mallya said the new processor is 28% more efficient than the closest competition in productivity performance. It’s 67 percent better on graphical enhancements and 4 times better on artificial intelligence, he added.
