Instagram, owned by Facebook, has announced that it will bring new features to improve the user experience on its social media platform.

In the latest update, users will be able to use a keyword search to find the content they like to watch. Previously, people used the prefix # (hashtag) to find topics of interest to them on Instagram. Now, you just have to type the keywords in the search tab and you will get the whole list of multimedia contents.

It will be available in select regions such as Canada, the US, the UK, Australia, New Zealand, and Ireland. It will be released to other parts of the world in the coming weeks.

Also, Instagram is getting a new ‘Watch Together’ feature. Users and their friends can tune in to IGTV, Reels and trending TV shows, movies and videos in real time via video chat.

Another novelty is the custom reactions function. “Express your affection with 💜 emojis, share your favorite songs from the new album or customize the reactions of your messages for your perfect chat with the theme of TinyTAN,” said Instagram on the blog.

Recently, Instagram launched the Vanish message feature, in which users can set a timer. Once it reaches the receiver, the message is automatically deleted after the preset time has elapsed.
