Indivisible production has ended after Lab Zero Games controversy

505 Games has announced that aside from content that has already shipped, there will be no further production on Indivisible following the controversy surrounding developer Lab Zero Games.

505 Games issued a statement clarifying this unfortunate decision, revealing that no guest characters or characters created by sponsors will be added to the game, despite having been previously promised.

An update is currently being rolled out for Nintendo Switch that will add Razmi Challenges, New Game +, and Couch Co-Op, which will bring all platforms to the same level of development. This update is scheduled to begin rolling out on October 13, 2020.

“Indivisible is a game of diversity, inclusion, friendship and evolution. 505 Games worked with the talented and creative people at Lab Zero for many years to bring Indivisible to life,” 505 Games said in its statement. “We are proud of the game that was created and happy that it has received the positive response it deserves. We are sorry that the journey has ended in this way. We want to thank all the indivisible players, new and old, who have supported the game. Since the bottom of our hearts, we appreciate you all.

More information was provided in the FAQ, including that those who expect their Ajna statue will get it in the future, that the game will continue to be available for digital purchase on all platforms, and more.

The issues surrounding Lab Zero Games were made public earlier this year, as several employees resigned following inappropriate behavior and abuse by studio director Mike “MikeZ” Zaimont.

Many of the developers formed a new studio, Future Club, in the wake of the controversy that “specializes in craft art and traditional 2D animation, engaging and responsive gameplay, and creating unique and memorable worlds.”
