Ubisoft streamed over an hour of Immortals Fenyx Rising following its re-reveal earlier in the week, and it goes without saying that this is our best look at the open-world game yet. The video has general exploration, combat, and quite a bit of puzzle solving.
While we think the screen is a bit cluttered at times, particularly during some fights, there is definitely promise here. And if you’ve played Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, you’ll notice that there are much of similarities. It even appears that Fenyx, the customizable protagonist, shares some animations with the brother heroes of Odyssey. It’s not a huge surprise considering that Immortals is being developed by the same team.
But the best way to describe Immortals is that Odyssey meets The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The inclusion of physics-based puzzles screams Nintendo’s open-world blockbuster, and the colorful art style certainly gives off a similar vibe here and there.
