How to watch AMD’s RDNA 2 event featuring Radeon RX 6000 GPUs

[ad_1]

After unveiling its new Zen 3 Ryzen 5000 processors earlier this month, AMD today announced its new line of Radeon RX graphics cards for desktops, which it promises will be “by far the most powerful gaming GPU we’ve ever built.”

The new Radeon RX 6000 series of GPUs will feature AMD’s new RDNA 2 architecture that includes real-time ray tracing, hardware accelerated and variable speed shadowing. The new cards are expected to compete directly with the latest lineup in Nvidia’s RTX 3000 series.

AMD has already started testing the new cards, but we hope today’s event will provide much more information on what to expect. Gamers looking to upgrade their PC to a new AMD GPU or looking for an alternative to Nvidia’s RTX 3000 GPUs due to the current supply shortage will probably want to tune in.

WHEN DOES THE AMD EVENT BEGIN?

Starts today, October 28, at 12 pm ET / 9 am PT / 4 pm GMT.

WHERE CAN I WATCH THE AMD EVENT?

We have incorporated the live stream at the top of this post, so you can stay here to watch it when it starts. Otherwise, AMD has streams available on its website and on YouTube.

WHAT WILL I SEE?

We already saw the new Ryzen 5000 CPUs announced on October 8, so this event will focus on AMD’s Radeon RX 6000 graphics cards. AMD already revealed the design of the Radeon RX 6000 in September on Twitter, and created their own Fortnite island for those interested in checking all the angles of the GPU.

These cards will be based on the company’s RDNA 2. The same graphics architecture is also found in the next generation consoles, the PS5 and Xbox Series X / S.
